Use an AC millivoltmeter to test the voltage to ground of the runner casing to confirm whether the leakage current has entered the sensor circuit and assess the impact on current production products. III. Tiered Emergency Repair and Handling Minor Leakage (Insulation Resistance 0.5MΩ~5MΩ, Moisture Only): No disassembly required. Activate the hot runner at 150℃ and continue drying for 2 hours to remove moisture absorbed by the magnesium oxide insulation layer. Once the insulation resistance is retested and rises to ≥5MΩ, production can resume. No disassembly is required throughout the process, and downtime should be controlled within 2.5 hours. Moderate Leakage (Partial Insulation Damage, No Heating Wire Blown): Quickly remove the faulty heater, cut off the damaged section of the heating wire on-site, and fill with high-purity magnesium oxide powder for emergency insulation repair. Reinstallation should be completed within 1 hour. Production can resume after high-temperature verification confirms no dynamic leakage, without waiting for new parts. Severe Leakage (Heating Wire Blown, Large Area of Insulation Layer Burned): Directly activate the pre-prepared spare heater of the same specifications. Follow the rapid replacement procedure to complete disassembly and reassembly within 20 minutes, simultaneously replacing aging heating cables and oxide connectors. Throughout the process, tighten the fixing screws strictly according to the torque standard to avoid localized stress compressing the insulation layer of the new heater. IV. Safety Verification Before Resuming Production Retest the insulation resistance of all heaters at room temperature to confirm that the entire channel is ≥5MΩ, with no potential static leakage. Heat to 320℃ and hold for 1.5 hours. Use an AC millivoltmeter to test the voltage of the heater casing to ground to <1V, confirming no dynamic leakage. Continuously observe the temperature controller data for 30 minutes to confirm that the sensor has no jumps or overcurrent alarms. After a small-batch trial production of 10 modules to verify quality, full-scale production is officially resumed. V. Post-Incident Root Cause Review and Prevention Record the cause of this leakage fault, repair time, and handling details, and archive them in the hot runner full life cycle maintenance log. Simultaneously update the quarterly insulation inspection plan, shortening the inspection cycle of this batch of heaters from 3 months to 1 month, providing early warning of potential insulation degradation. Install residual current circuit breakers with a 30mA tripping threshold in all heater circuits to achieve automatic power cut-off upon leakage, preventing similar faults from escalating again.
